Arts Council Funding
We are thrilled to have received £15K Arts Council England Funding for a project at Kents Cavern, Torquay. This double project included: A local schools initiative that saw Butterfly work alongside the teachers and students from 4 local schools to create a site-responsive student led performance of Macbeth in the stunning underground caves, as well as a magical performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream performed by Butterfly’s professional actors.
Butterfly were also awarded funding via the Arts Council Grants for Arts programme, as project support, for creating The Tempest at Leigh Woods, Bristol, in collaboration with visual artist Luke Jerram and his art installation piece ‘Withdrawn’ commissioned by the National Trust.
